Something free I'm starting — March 31st

Hello!

I wanted to let you know about something I'm starting this month.

On March 31st at 10am Mountain, I'm opening a Climate Cafe for Mothers and Birthing People — a free, informal online space to sit with how climate change actually feels during the perinatal season.

No agenda. No expert talk. No action plans. Just one hour, online, with a small group of people who understand the particular weight of bringing life into a changing world.

If that sounds like something you need, or something you want to share with someone who does — I'd love to have you there.

With care,

Allie

New way into the certification: Core training, your schedule
I know you've heard me talk about the Maternal Ecopsychology Certification. This is different. The live spring cohort has closed. I'm now offering the core instructional training as a self-paced certification for those who want the depth of the program on their own schedule.   What's included: 20 video lessons where I break down my original peer-reviewed research on maternal ecodistress, ma...

I will be honest that the lack of snow so far this year also brings up my ecodistress about climate change. It is an aspect of mothering we rarely name with one another or with...
Mother Juniper and the beginnings of ecoawakening
Hello friends, The first time I encountered the tree I would later call Mother Juniper, I was holding my infant daughter in one arm and the silence of exhaustion in the other. The juniper stood on a wind-scoured ridge—weathered, twisted, rooted in rock. She did not speak or soothe, but her presence steadied me. I traced her bark with one hand and held my daughter close with the other, and fo...

Mother Tree Journal | Climate-Aware Maternal Mental Health

In the Mother Tree Journal, Dr. Allie Davis shares monthly essays and recordings exploring how motherhood transforms our relationship with nature—and support for integrating ecopsychology into your life and work. Rooted in research, these reflections offer evidence-based insight and ecological grounding for mothers, providers, and the communities that support them.
